Flowers at the Chicago Botanical Gardens....I was a little distracted while I was there since I was concentrating on people, but I managed to take a few artsy flower pictures, my favorites are the ones with the bees. Don't ask me what types of flowers they are...the only one I know for sure are the purple irises. ***None of these have been cropped or enhanced.

Sophie and Zion

My friend Stacey commissioned me to take a few shots of little Sophie to enter her gorgeous little face in a the Gerber Baby Photo Contest.  Little Sophie wasn't having her best day and was just plain tired!  Stacey tried waking Sophie up and I took a little walk with Zion who, at first, gladly agreed to be my model.  Zion's role as model was short lived after about 20 shots and then he just ran from me.  Shooting kids is not as easy as engaged couples.  Hopefully my next venture with little people will be more successful, even though we got a few good shots!  Thanks Cross Family!

My first real engagement shoot!  Christy and John were so prepared, cooperative and patient. Christy was made for this and probably had more fun than me!  I was so happy to have such a willing couple to work with and such a beautiful day and setting.  Thanks Christy and John, I learned so much!

So, I haven't posted for a while, but that doesn't mean I have retired my lens.  In an effort to gain some experience doing portraits, I had the pleasure of photographing my gorgeous friend Olivia at the Chicago Botanical Gardens.  She's never modeled before, but she was amazing to work with.  I hope she had as much fun as I did.  Here are few of my favorites....
